Black Tie & Gown Evening Performance

Norman revelled in his fame as The Rudest Landlord in London. He ruled the roost, in the heart of Soho, from 1943 to 2006 when he retired. Norman has lived and outlived most. The Mafia, protection rackets, vice, pimps, Private Eye, Jeffery Bernard and all the great actors and artists of his time.

This play, on this extraordinary man, is told through a series of wonderful, surprise and planned encounters in the Coach. All the encounters happened in real life and are full of irreverence, profanity, surprise, shock, fun and a lot of laughter.

‘I remember Francis Bacon putting a fifty quid note in Jeffery’s top pocket and saying ‘What are you going to do now Jeffery your looks have gone?’.

‘If I see your face I’ll remember you anywhere, what your called I don’t care…’

‘You have to live a new life all the time, every single day…’

If you liked Jefferey Barnard is Unwell, you’re going to love this.
